Considering my awstats page is password protected, I was pretty surprised to see porn links in the referer stats this morning. But I’m guessing the spammers don’t really give a crap if no one will actually see their links, they just carpet bomb everyone they can. I hate spam. There were only two referers, but I really really hate spam. So I went surfing for a solution and found a patch for awstats.pl on sourceforge that checks a blacklist for referers before including them in the stats. I’m using the MT-Blacklist blacklist which seems pretty big. We’ll see how it goes.
