Since the beginning of time (for this blog anyway) comments have been turned off. When I originally installed WordPress, it took all of 30 seconds to get comment spam. Now as much as I want ads for online poker all over my blog, I decided to turn comments off so I could buy illegal software and mortgages with great rates at my own pace.
As it turns out, WordPress 1.5 seems to have a bit more comment and spam control, so at the risk of destroying my ego by acknowledging the fact that no one is out there listening, I’m going to open up comments and see what happens. Perhaps I’ll go back and turn comments on for past articles and you can all ridicule and deride my assinine essays, but for now I’ll just turn on comments going forward and see if all hell breaks lose.
So, is anyone out there?

Well, thanks, Michael. Now I have to come up with something intelligent to say. It was much easier to pollute the internet with my opinions when I knew no one but bots and spiders were reading them. 🙂
